Online-Seminar Detection of EGFR Exon 20 Insertions (NSCLC)

To evaluate the results of the two-part proficiency test EGFR Exon 20 Insertion 2021, QuIP offers a free feedback online seminar.

  • Date: 18.04.2023
  • Time: 5 p.m.– ca. 6 p.m. (CET)

PD. Dr. med. Udo Siebolts (Institute of Pathology, University Hospital Cologne) will first explain the mode of action of EGFR inhibitors (TKI and bispecific antibodies) as well as the results of clinical studies on EGFR inhibitors (EGFR exon 20 insertion specific) and will then give a brief overview of the recommendations for testing strategies and the testing algorithm.

In the second part of the seminar, Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Sabine Merkelbach-Bruse (Institute of Pathology, University Hospital Cologne) will address the molecular pathological diagnostics of EGFR exon 20 insertions specifically the spectrum and frequency of EGFR exon 20 insertions in NSCLC, the activation by EGFR exon 20 insertions and the available detection methods. She will discuss the detection spectrum as well as the correct naming of EGFR exon 20 insertions. Finally, she will summarize the proficiency test results.

There will be time at the end for discussion with the speakers and to answer questions. All participants are invited to ask questions about theory and practice after the presentations and to discuss with the speakers. You are also welcome to send your questions in advance (by April 11th, 2023) to office@quip.eu.

Prior registration for the seminar is required. Here you will find the link to the registration.
